Snowshoe Half Day Course
Mount Amayobi
An area rich in local legend, this scenic course takes you to a natural stage on a peak with great views of surrounding mountains and a local mountain shrine.
Machigasawa Course
A beautiful course that winds through the snow covered Yubiso River valley at the foot of the famous Mount Tanigawa.

| Access (car) | Take the Minakami IC off the Kanetsu Expressway and head towards Tanigawadake on Route 291 for about 15 minutes. At the Oana traffic lights hang a right onto Route 63, and just after crossing the bridge over the Yubiso River there is a little lane on your left with Canyons 20 metres up this lane on your left. |

Tour Flow
| Tour Start | Meeting at Canyons Base in Minakami Meet at the Adventure Centre in Minakami and head in to Reception to sign in. Snowshoeing is relatively safe but is still an outdoor sport so we get you to fill out a tour participation form for insurance purposes. It is also a good chance to settle up the tour fee. |
| Ready to go? | A quick crash course on how to walk in snow shoes…. Once the gear is all sorted it is off to the start point. Get used to the snowshoes and the poles as the guide explains the best way to use them. |
| Explore a winter wonderland | Refresh yourself in nature's beauty Into the snow covered world we go... Snowshoeing doesn't require any high level skills so you'll soon be skipping through the snow. There is loads of fun to be had. The feeling of soft, fresh snow is truly amazing. Stunning natural sights and things that you can only see in the wilderness during winter.
