Snowsports School

Canyons professional international instructors can help you improve your style and skills, whether it is your first time on the snow or you are an experienced skier or snowboarder. We have extensive knowledge of the local ski areas and are available to instruct at all 30 Minakami & Yuzawa (including Naeba) ski resorts. Our staff can cater for personalized private lessons from kids to adults.

Kids ski & snowboard lessons
Our kid's lessons get kids skiing fast! We offer kid's ski lessons from 3 years of age and kid's snowboard lessons from 6/8 years.
Park lessons
Want to learn some cool tricks? Learn how to tackle the park with style.
Powder lessons
The perfect step for those wanting to gt int backcountry or just enjoy the on piste pow. We'll have you floating through the pow in no time!
On Mountain guiding
Make the most of your day at the resorts with an experienced guide to show you all the secret stashes!
Telemark lessons
Learn proper form and powerful techniques to accelerate your telemark skiing ability.

 
We choose to follow the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance teaching progressions for all our lessons.

Minakami Area

With 10 ski areas to choose from, a consistant snow fall and easy access this is a great area for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders.

Yuzawa contains some of Central Japans’ biggest resorts including Kagura, Naeba, Gala Yuzawa, Ishiuchi and Iwappara ski resort, always a hit with families.
