Agatsuma Area - the slow paced resort!
Located on the Gunma border with Niigata and Nagano the area contains a a number of 2000-25000m peaks including the famous volcanoes of Kusatsu Mt Shirane, Mt Asama, and Mt Azumaya. The Agatsuma river cuts through the mountains from West to East with the famous Agatsuma Canyon being one of the highlights. Thye area contains the famous hot sping towns of Kusatsu, Shima, Manza and Sawatari. The pefrect place to revive after an adventure.
